SMFC Firefighters respond to a variety of fire and rescue calls throughout the greater Whitemarsh area including working fires, fire alarms, gas leaks, vehicle rescue/accidents and provide Swift Water Rescue. SMFC Firefighters use a variety of vehicles including:

  • Squad 45
  • Ladder 45
  • Rescue/Air 45
  • Special Service 45
  • Chiefs Vehicle
  • Utility 45



SMFC Fire Police provide traffic control for fire and police calls within and around Whitemarsh Township.  Their primary vehicle is:

  • Traffic 45


Swift Water Rescue
SMFC has several Firefighters & Divers that are trained in Swift Water Rescue due to our proximity to the Schuylkill River and frequency of local flooding.


Dive Unit
The SMFC Dive Unit has been proudly serving since 2011, with 7 active members. Dive Unit members hold diver certifications from the Open Water level all the way up to Rescue Diver (approximately 125 hours of training). The Dive Unit has weekly trainings every Wednesday at 7p.
