On 1/11 at 14:04 hours, Spring Mill Fire Company No.1 was dispatched to a Non-Commercial Building Fire to the unit block of Locust Way in Whitemarsh Township. Deputy Chief 45 arrived at a 2 story large single-family dwelling and confirmed a working bedroom fire on the second floor. The working fire dispatch was struck bringing additional units to the scene. First, in engine Squad 45 placed a 1¾” line in service and quickly knocked down the room and contents fire. The crew of Ladder 43’s operator placed the main to the roof while the crew was assigned to the roof sector where they ventilated a skylight to assist the interior crews. The incident was placed under control within 45 minutes with no further fire extension past the room of origin and no reported injuries. While this incident was still active, Spring Mill Fire Company No.1 was dispatched to a Fire Alarm at another location. Engine 24 and Lieutenant 6 handled this incident. While the company was restoring our equipment from the dwelling fire, at 17:22 hours we were dispatched for a vehicle accident on North Lane.
