On Friday, April 7, 2023, at 18:34 hours Spring Mill Fire Company No.1 was dispatched to Standby at Vehicle Accident on Barren Hill Road. The reports were 1 vehicle hit a parked car, and struck an electric pole. There were also reports that the car struck a house and damaged the structural supports for the porch.
Assistant 45 arrived on the scene with a pole severed and suspended in the air and the wires were still electrified. There was 1 vehicle into another parked vehicle in the driveway with damage to the structure.
PECO was notified along with Whitemarsh Township codes. The road was closed for an extended period of time while PECO did repairs.
