On August 31 at 19:26 hours Spring Mill Fire Company was requested to assist the Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2 on a building investigation at 101 Washington Street in the Borough. The box would eventually be filled out and upgraded to a building fire response as CFD crews found smoke and fire showing from a tar pot located on the roof of a large commercial building under construction. Squad 45 and Chief 45 made the response and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. The incident was brought under control with no further extension into the building and 45 units were available just after 21:00 hours.
