Incident Response – Brush Fires Near Spring Mill Station Today at 15:04 hours, Spring Mill Fire Company was dispatched for a reported unknown type fire in the area of the Spring Mill Train Station.
Upon arrival, crews from Engine 45 and ATV 45 located multiple fires burning along the embankment between the Schuylkill River Trail and the SEPTA Norristown Line tracks.
Engine 45’s crew stretched a booster line down the embankment and began extinguishment operations, while ATV 45 utilized its forestry line and onboard tank water to access and extinguish additional spot fires in the difficult terrain. Working together, crews quickly contained and extinguished all visible fire.
Firefighters remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes to ensure all hot spots were extinguished and the area was safe.
